Text messages MLB star Wander Franco allegedly sent the 14-year-old girl he is accused of having an improper relationship with have been released in a bombshell report.

According to ESPN, Tampa Bay Rays star Franco told her he had risked his career by getting involved with the teenager, saying in Spanish: ‘My girl, if my team realizes this, it could cause problems for me. It is a rule for all teams that we cannot talk to minors, and yet I took the risk and I loved it.’

The message was apparently sent after the allegations of Franco’s conduct had  emerged on social media.

ESPN says it has obtained a 600-page document that was presented to the judge at a hearing this month by prosecutors.

Franco’s attorney has questioned how legitimate the file is and criticized the fact that it had been leaked.

‘There are serious questions regarding the authenticity of particular documents and references contained in the prosecutor’s confidential file, which was inappropriately disclosed to certain media outlets,’ said Franco’s United States-based attorney, Jay Reisinger, was widely quoted as saying.

‘We are in consultation with Mr. Franco’s legal counsel in the Dominican Republic, and we intend to take the necessary legal measures in response.’

The document also claims that Franco and the girl first met online in 2022 and started a four-month relationship from December 2022.

When things became strained between them, Franco sent her a message on WhatsApp when he learned she was seeing someone else.

Franco allegedly wrote: ‘I would like you to forget everything you have learned to raise you my way.’

She wrote back: ‘And what is your way? Without love? Without respect?’

Franco replied: ‘There was more to it but you’re just a girl and you don’t know how to get along with me, that’s why you failed, but I’ll give you only one chance, you must be only for me. Don’t look at anyone, I know you’ve been with someone else, but no one will know how to use you the way I want.’

After the allegations against Franco surfaced, he took to Instagram live to deny them but has not spoken publicly since – nor has he played for his Rays team, for whom he has signed an 11-year, $182million deal with.
